About the Vietnam Honeymoon
Five nights, three very different places, and only one early start. Two nights in Hanoi to get over the flight and walk the Old Quarter, then the night on Halong Bay that most people come to Vietnam for — limestone islands, a cabin on the water, and a sunrise worth setting an alarm for.
Then south to Da Nang for the last two nights: Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge by cable car, and Hoi An in the evening, when the lanterns are lit and the old town is at its best. Rooms are booked as honeymoon rooms, so the decoration and the cake come from the hotel where the hotel offers them.
Day by day
01Arrive Hanoi | Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter
- Met at Hanoi International Airport and driven to the hotel.
- Check in and rest after the flight.
- In the evening, a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and into the streets of the Old Quarter.
- Overnight in Hanoi.
02Hanoi | City sightseeing
- After breakfast, the city tour: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, Ba Dinh Square and the Temple of Literature.
- Back into the Old Quarter afterwards, with time for the shops and the coffee.
- Evening free — dinner somewhere good, or the night streets.
- Overnight in Hanoi.
03Hanoi to Halong Bay | Overnight cruise
- Breakfast, check out and the drive to Halong Bay.
- Board the cruise and sail out through the limestone islands.
- Kayaking, a cave or a swim, depending on the boat and the day.
- Sunset over the bay from the deck.
- Overnight on the cruise, with lunch and dinner on board.
04Halong Bay to Da Nang | Sunrise, then the flight south
- Up early for the sunrise over the bay.
- Breakfast and the last of the cruise before disembarking.
- Back to Hanoi and on to the airport for the flight to Da Nang.
- Transfer to the hotel on arrival.
- Overnight in Da Nang.
05Ba Na Hills, the Golden Bridge and Hoi An by lantern light
- After breakfast, out to Ba Na Hills.
- The cable car up, and the Golden Bridge held in its two stone hands.
- Back towards Da Nang in the afternoon.
- Hoi An Ancient Town in the evening, when the lanterns are lit.
- Return to Da Nang.
- Overnight in Da Nang.
06Da Nang | Departure
- Breakfast and check out.
- Transfer to Da Nang International Airport for your flight.
