About the Meghalaya Short Trip
Four days for the headline sights: Umiam Lake on the drive up, a full day at Sohra for Nohkalikai and Mawsmai, and Mawlynnong with its living root bridge on the way to Cherrapunji.
Nohkalikai drops 340 m in a single fall — the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and at its best when it has been raining, which in Sohra it usually has.

!Good to know
- Sohra and Mawsynram are the wettest inhabited places on earth. Rain is part of the trip rather than a problem with it, but it can close roads and swell the falls.
- The last stretch to Mawlynnong and Nongriat is run by local vehicles and guides rather than by us, so those charges are separate.
